About the author

My father (Norman Macrae with whom I co-authored the first future of the net generation in 1984) and I created Entrepreneurial Revolution in The Economist back in 1972 as a way of debating how to help youth of the net generation enjoy the most productive and collaborative of times. Dad left us in 2010 but our family still helps host this leadership and youth debate wherever we can. Of 7 systems that Entrepreneurial Revolution networks over 4 decades have mapped as critical to progressing the human lot, open education looks like the most critical in 2010s. Welcome linking in with anyone who agrees, and who urgently wants to help worldwide youth with job creation. While I live in Washington DC, the 7 countries that my father and I have enjoyed celebrating the most pro-youth innovation in education with are Japan, Bangladesh, South Africa, New Zealand, Scotland, Kenya and hopefully China.
In 2013, The Year of the MOOC and the 170th anniversary of The Economist being founded to end capital abuse of youth, the USA has the greatest opportunity of all to change from job destructive education, but will it?
