    We all know that there's nothing new under the sun these days. What makes this book so good is that it's motivating, inspiring and you feel like Joe is talking to you, not at you.

    If you don't actively take steps to attract your desires as outlined in the book, then you can't possibly expect results. One of the highlights of the book was when Joe was describing how he manifested his dream car when he had no idea how he was going to do it. So I decided to do the same thing and here's what happened:

    Before I start, I want to say that my ultimate dream car is a 500 series BMW (black). This would have represented quite a jump from the Honda Civic that I was still making payments to. So I decided to take baby steps and did exactly what Joe did (waltzed into a showroom with as much confidence he could muster and fill out the application for a new car).

    While my new monthly payments only ended up being $77 a month more, it felt GREAT to drive a spanking new 07 Honda Civic! In the past, I would have allowed limiting thoughts plaque my mind (i.e. "You can't afford a new car! Are you crazy, you don't need a new car!" "What if you can't make the new monthly payments?" etc etc).

    I have to say that since getting my new car, I've attracted new income in my life (i.e. more speaking engagements, donations to my "Adversity University blog and other unexpected income)!!

    What Joe was trying to share was that if you simply take a risk, trust the universe to provide, then that's exactly what will happen. It's my opinion if you need to take baby steps on the way to your ultimate dream car or house or whatever it is you desire, then there's nothing wrong with that. You can't undo a lifetime's worth of limited thinking in one day. Dismantling limited thinking takes time and patience.

    I've recommended this book to several of my readers at "Adversity University." It's a wonderful gem of a book to have in your library. Go and get it!

    I want to add one more thing. Even though Joe doesn't say this in his book, he smokes cigars. I found out because he participated in a blogger experiment where bloggers everywhere listed at least 10 daily success habits. I wonder if he likes Montesino Toros? They are great! I smoke one because I like to sit out on my porch and contemplate how wonderful things have turned out in my life, thanks to the "Attractor Factor"!

    It is hard to put into words, but this book is gem. I probably could have written several of the chapters myself as much of my thinking is aligned with the author's point of view. That's my bias for this review. It wasn't hard for me to pick up this book and accept it at face value. Without the needed mindset to digest or reaffirm the nuggets of knowledge contained within, I could envision the book producing a little doubt for some readers...doubts about the author, his concepts, and ideas. This is the most honest book I've ever read. Read this book with an open mind. Some of the ideas may sound a bit farfetched, but when you realize that you have already experienced most of them, you quickly become a believer. Many of these concepts have been around for a long time and written about in the past, but none have been so simply put and easily understood as in this book.

    The main ideas behind the Attractor Factor:

    1. Know what you don't want.

    2. Select what you do want.

    3. Clear all negative or limiting beliefs.

    4. Feel what it would be like to have, do, or be what you want.

    5. Let go as you act on your intuitive impulses, and allow the results to manifest.

    They sound simple, but the book goes into great detail explaining and helping you understand how the above exist and function.

    This book deserves to be read. It is very easy reading and you will find yourself coming back to it. I found it very inspiring. If you do buy it, try to live by the principles contained within it. You will make this world a better place.

    A great handbook for getting started

    I have just read this book for the second time after about three years and it has meant a lot more to me on my second reading. When you are new to self-help books, the abundance of this book's references to other authors/gurus/methodologies/websites can be a little off-putting as can Joe's revelling in his own glories and apparently materialistic interests. It would be easy to wag the finger and say that he can't be "very spiritual" because of his emphasis on getting the most out of the material world. However this is the world in which we live and what comes across to me is that Joe wants the same for his reader too. His enthusiasm about his own and others' achievements can easily be misconstrued as an "ego trip" but throughout the book there is an emphasis on the need to "detach" from the need to control the situation which means detaching from the ego. Many of Joe's techniques apply not only to obtaining material possessions but to changing oneself at the core of the psyche but there is no apology about the fact that he wants to be master of each situation. There is a great emphasis on being CLEAR which, out of all the books that I have read, comes across far more strongly in this one. Joe has a background of poverty. He has had to empower himself so as to never again be its victim. Many American New Thought authors wrote during the Great Depression and have provided us with timeless treatises of how to turn poverty into wealth. The Attractor Factor provides the reader with a handbook of methodologies to get started on the road to self-empowerment. I strongly disagree with one reader who debunks the "Yagna" as being superficial or ineffective. What proof does the reader have that there is no evidence of their effectiveness? A close friend of mine had a yagna done on her behalf and within a short time came into a large sum of money. But this goes back to Joe's point that if you believe in its effectiveness then it will prove effective to you. Such is the hypothesis of quantum thinking which is what this book is about. Finally I would like to say how much I appreciate Joe's explanation of "The Script", a method for clearing subconscious blockages in the form of a prayer, devised by Karol Truman. I have copied it onto a card which I keep in my bag so that if ANYTHING negative comes into my awareness I can clear it there and then. If the book only accomplishes THIS result in my life, then it is worthy of the five stars which I am giving it.

    HOW? Well I am already a student of creative thought and have managed to create a great deal of success form using universal principles and this was so easy to read for me and I loved the way Joe explained things like he was talking to me. As a coaching student of Joe's also it simply proved to me how easy it really is to manifest anything from total belief and visualisation. Most people will never get this because they have pre-conceived ideas of what they think and believe therefore they spend their lives moaning about what doesn't work when they only have to flick a switch and embrace this law just like gravity. We accept many laws so there is no reason why this law cannot work for anyone.

    I loved it and can whole heartedly recommend it to open minded people.
