Until now, leadership has always been viewed as the purview of a select few - it seems to be more about the "what" these leaders want their subjects to do, rather than the "how-to." That's a mistake, says Vinay Nadig. In this persuasive and pragmatic new book, Vinay makes a case that (a) leadership is accessible to anyone and (b) leadership is a set of sustainable daily behaviors. He lays out a practical and instantly usable "leadership launch platform" in the form of 20 Leadership Secrets or techniques. These 20 secrets are the foundation of leadership as a way of life - the only real way to perform at an exceptional level. Read what Marshall Goldsmith, 2 million-selling author of the New York Times bestseller, Mojo and What Got You Here Won't Get You There has to say about "Leadership IS for Everyone": "In Leadership IS for Everyone, Vinay lays out a vision to achieve exceptional performance and achieve fulfillment at work. His core tenets of “doing things” rather than “being somebody”, of sustainable behaviors rather than a belief in hierarchy and title hit the mark in today’s workplace. Using a practical workbook-like approach, Vinay leads you through the process of establishing yourself as a leader and then launching into the highest levels of leadership where you focus not just on yourself, but in transforming others. If you are looking to take your performance to the next level and achieve not just your goals but true fulfillment, then reading and using the 20 leadership secrets he shares in this book will prove invaluable." When we wait for things to happen to us, we lose. When we accept the mantle of leadership, we can ignite our performance and fuel our success. Use Vinay's Leadership Secrets to recharge your enthusiasm and redirect your actions back to what really works.

About the Author

Vinay Nadig developed the principles and systems around Leadership IS for Everyone - a set of daily leadership behaviors during his 20+ years as a consultant, entrepreneur and a business unit head. Vinay started in the manufacturing sector and as a process and sales engineer he built a solid foundation of systems thinking. Adding an MBA from Texas A&M to his qualifications, Vinay has since concentrated on the systems and processes that "get things done." Along the way, he has consulted with several large Fortune 500 organizations in the healthcare, retail, technology and airline sectors and delivered multi-million dollar initiatives. He has also worked for mid-size global consulting organizations, helping them launch strategic business units. In all of his experience, Vinay has focused on the set of behaviors within oneself - that can actually result in enabling others to succeed - a system that he lays out in great detail in this book. Vinay emigrated from India to the USA, on Jan 1st 1990. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mysore, India and an MBA from Texas A & M University, Texas, USA. Vinay lives with his wife and two children in the Dallas, TX area.

After reading the book, I am convinced that Vinay Nadig has the potential to be one of the great motivational speakers in our time. The book talks about leadership and emphasizes that leadership skills are critical beyond the "C-Suite" of people (CEO, CFO, COO, etc.). Leadership skills can be used at any position in any organization. They should even be used outside of work, especially with your own personal development. He emphasizes being part of the "doing movement" and not part of the "being cult"; never let "inertia set your agenda."

I recommend this book for anyone thinking about their direction and purpose, yet needing inspirational guidance to take that next step forward. All of us wish to self-actualize but we also need pearls of wisdon to give us that confidence.

I was a little uncertain about the value of this book when I started reading it. However, the book and the author grew on me. This is an excellent leadership book for all people of all ages. A very nice blend of theory, examples, followed by a self-assessment/improvement section at the end of each chapter. It made me think hard about how I want to perform at work and what I have to do to get results through other people to increase our organization's performance and those with whom I'm working. What I liked best were the self-improvement exercises - that continually make me assess how I am doing on improving my leadership skills and results.

The book is an excellent guide to leadership. Unlike any leadership preach out there (atleast to my knowledge) the book helps you with examples, exercises and scores. This is the best part of this book as it not only gives the theory but attempts to help you implement them in realty. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who wish to hone their leadership skills and more importantly be a leader in actions :)

I read Leadership is for Everyone just a the right time. In contemplating my own leadership adjustments from within, I found Vinay's guidance to be spot on. It helped me to take a step back, evaluate some critical elements, tack on some additional personal accountability and get ready for my next set of leadership steps. I highly recommend digging into this book and using it for your own growth. Good job Vinay!

Leadership is a very complex topic and there are thousands of books written on the subject. But Vinay does a good job of breaking down core elements and behaviors to start forward movement in leadership. Too many times leadership is thought to be for 'those people,' or people who manage people. Leadership is for everyone!

I finally got a chance to read this book and can certainly say it's a keeper. There are many leadership books on the market but very few provide practical, measureable methods by which to gauge not only yourself but also others on the finer points of leadership. One of the best aspects of the book is that it speaks to the progressive nature of a becoming a leader and the very practical methods by which it can be achieved. It presents leadership in "stages" and provides great and simple tools for evaluating yourself or others at each stage. This is something I can always reference. Personally, I think (and have been told) that I've been a pretty good leader. But, I can see now where I have some adjustments I can make to be even better. As a manager of people who is responsible for helping to guide and shape careers, I can see how I would use information to coach and mentor individuals on my team who seek leadership positions. It's a good, quick read and never pretentious. I highly recommend it.

Vinay has done a wonderful job in sharing the 20 secrets of leadership that are applicable to all facets of life, not just business. The content of this book showcases Vinay's grasp of the subject and his experience working with and observing leaders. The practical approach makes it easy to relate to day-to-day situations and put the learnings to action. Reading this book has helped me review my own leadership style, principles and traits, and have provided me with tips, ideas and tools to adjust my own behavior to rise to the next level of leadership. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and plan to share this book with my team and colleagues as a "MUST READ" to help elevate their performance as a leader. Its also a great book for aspiring leaders to get their basics right to be an effective leader. GREAT READ!!!
