The University of Texas at Arlington’s Division for Enterprise Development will host the training and certification preparation program for Enterprise Engagement and ISO 10018 certification, October 3-4 at the at The University of Texas Arlington campus, less than 20 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. The University of Texas at Arlington’s Division for Enterprise Development provides professional education on dozens of topics in a wide variety of professional areas, including health and safety, human resources, management, marketing and other related fields.
The program is sponsored by QualityDigest.com, a leading media company in the quality space, and by the Social and Human Capital Coalition.
The emerging field of Enterprise Engagement and ISO 10018 standards provide a roadmap for the more effective use of dollars traditionally allocated for traditional forms external and internal marketing and management, much the same way that ISO 9000 standards led to the more effective use of resources to enhance quality starting in the late 1980s. This new field addresses the growing need for organizations of all types to demonstrate to their stakeholders a commitment to investing in human capital for the benefit of all constituencies.
The Enterprise Engagement curriculum and certification program provides the training necessary for organizations to achieve ISO 10018 Quality People Management Certification from the International Center for Enterprise Engagement (ICEE) at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Based on the curriculum for this new field being presented at the Academy of Management’s annual conference this summer, the “ISO 10018: Enterprise Engagement in Action” program specifically addresses why neither employee nor customer engagement has increased appreciably in the last decade, despite trillions spent on external and internal marketing and engagement efforts.
This program outlines a strategic, proactive approach to the design of engagement efforts and Quality People Management that aims to do for human capital management what ISO 9000 standards did for quality—significantly improve results through a systematic approach that connects the dots between all factors that address engagement.
Instructors and speakers include experts in ISO 10018, Annex SL and other ISO standards, and in the related field of Enterprise Engagement:
• Dr. Ron McKinley, Vice President and Chief Standards Officer, Healthcare Management Institute, University of Texas Medical Branch
• Allan Schweyer, Curriculum Director, Enterprise Engagement Academy
• Lee S. Webster, Director, Standards Development, Healthcare Management Institute at UTMB
• Bruce Bolger, Founder, Enterprise Engagement Alliance and Co-founder of the International Center for Enterprise Engagement.

“ISO 10018: Enterprise Engagement in Action” is a practical 1½-day interactive conference that provides professionals all the essential information they need to bring back Enterprise Engagement principles to their organizations. Professionals seeking certification will benefit from a practical exercise that will prepare them for the Advanced Engagement Practitioner (AEP) designation, providing the expertise needed by organizations seeking to profit from the ISO 10018 standards and Enterprise Engagement framework.
Whether or not an organization seeks ISO 10018 certification, it can benefit from this systematic approach to engaging customers, distribution partners, sales and non-sales employees, vendors, communities and constituents based on a clear return-on-investment.
