Saqlain Sher, Pakistan HR Exec, Earns ISO 30414 Certification

Saqlain Sher, a senior HR professional with nearly 18 years of human resources management experience in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Oman, and Abu Dhabi, has achieved the ISO 30414 certification for implementation of human capital internal and external reporting. This qualifies him to conduct examinations for other professionals and organizations seeking to benefit from ISO 30414 human capital standards certification from the International Center for Enterprise Engagement at TheICEE.org to implement more effective human capital management practices and achieve better outcomes.

Saqlain ScherThe International Center for Enterprise Engagement at TheICEE.org has certified Saqlain Sher as a professional implementer of ISO 30414 human capital standards. Sher is Senior Manager, Human Resources at PTCL, a leading telecommunications company in Pakistan, and has nearly 10 years of experience in human resources management.

This ICEE ISO 30414 professional certification is based on verification of Sher’s management experience and an examination conducted by Zahid Mubarik, Founder of CEO of HRMetrics, a leading human capital analytics firm in Pakistan. Mubarik was among the first to become professionally certified by the International Center for Enterprise Engagement at TheICEE.org, one of the only organizations in the world to certify professionals or organizations in ISO 30414 human capital internal and external reporting standards, as well as ISO 10018 quality people management standards; ISO 30401 knowledge management standards, and others. Zubarik serves on the ISO committee that created and maintains the standard. ISO 30414 human capital reporting standards were published in 2019 to help organizations develop a strategic and systematic approach to human capital reporting, both for internal decision-making and for external reporting to government regulators, investors, and the public. To achieve ISO 30414 certification from ICEE for implementation, candidates must have at least three years of management experience in human resources, sales, marketing, finance, or general management verified by three references as well as a B.A.,B.S., or equivalent degree from an accredited university or college. In addition, candidates must purchase the 30414 standard from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); complete a one-hour oral exam with an ISO 30414 certified examiner approved by ICEE, and complete a written exercise that includes: an engagement letter for an organization specifying the process that will be used to develop the human capital reporting strategy and a written business plan for an ISO 30414 certification based on a case study.

To receive an ICEE certification for auditors, candidates must have at least two years of auditing experience in any field and also submit an audit checklist based on the standard, or have their first audit overseen by an authorized ICEE examiner.

Before joining PTCL in Karachi, Sher served as HR Business Partner for Doosan Babcock, an energy products supplier in Abu Dhabi; head of HR and administration for Al Hassan Engineering Co., also in Abu Dhabi, and Manager of Human Resources for Attila Dogan & Seeh Al Sarya, a construction firm in Oman. He received a degree in Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Butto Institute of Science and Technology in Dubai.

With this ISO 30414 certification, Sher joins about a half-dozen other individuals who have received ISO 30414 certification and who has the credentials to conduct examinations for individuals seeking an ISO 30414 or related ISO human capital management certification.
