How would your organization rate if someone deployed AI to evaluate how your organization engages with its stakeholders? Organizations can now find out using an enhanced version of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance Stakeholder Management Assessment Calculator, powered by the Maturity Institue.
The importance of this assessment, says Bruce Bolger, Founder of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, is based on increasing empirical research establishing a direct link between stakeholder engagement and future equity value creation.
Earlier this year, the Enterprise Engagement Alliance announced a new member benefit: discounted use of the Organizational Maturity Index (Omindex) that rates organizations on the level of effectiveness of their stakeholder management processes based on over two-dozen factors outlined below. See ESM: New EEA Tool Enables Advisory Organization to Rate the Maturity of Stakeholder Management. This assessment tool is part of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance's professional service support team for solution providers or in-house management seeking to implementation stakeholder management processes to enhance performance and stakeholder experiences.

Now, Omindex has successfully tested a version of the platform powered by AI that scours publicly available information about both public and private companies against the maturity factors it tracks to produce a rating not unlike those used in rating bonds. This enables organizations the ability not only to rapidly get a snapshot of how they rate in the maturity of their people management processes, but also to get a snapshot of what anyone with a similar capability might find if studying an organization, says Stuart Woollard, Managing Director of the company.
The process, he adds, was successfully tested with an examination of 30 law firms in the UK. See ESM: The Maturity Institute and Lex Solution Release First UK Law Firm Maturity Index Ratings. Click here for a sample of the report generated through the AI process.
“Generally speaking,” Woollard points out, “Most companies with over 150 employees or revenues of at least $5 million to $10 million will have a big enough public footprint across business and social media, ratings sites, public disclosures, legal actions etc. The AI is programmed to identify the specific data points, interrogate the evidence, and create a score using our maturity index diagnostic guidance. Organizations get a snapshot they can potentially compare with others in their field, as we accomplished with the law firms in the UK.” Groups of companies in a particular industry could also use the platform to benchmark and compare their scores.
For an additional fee, the service includes an internal analysis of management and others representing all stakeholders to determine a more definitive rating based on combining both internal and external views. This report includes a formal rating that can be compared from year to year and provides a gap analysis pointing to the areas in which an organization can enhance performance, Woollard adds.

The Stakeholder Management Assessment Calculator adds to the toolkit of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, focused on helping organizations move from talk to action in the implementation of stakeholder management. Earlier this year, the EEA launched the People Value Impact Calculator, which makes it easy to rapidly correlate data related to almost any investment in people management, including training, communications, rewards and recognition, compensation in order to better determine cause and effect and return on investment. Click here for information about all the tools and resources offered by the Enterprise Engagement Alliance and how to get involved.

- What is our return on human investment?
- How far into the future am I prepared to look?
- What is our mission?
- Do I attach enough importance to my communication?
- Do I understand the power of the organization’s whole system?
- I want us to be flexible and agile, but do we know how?
- Do we have an effective quality assurance system?
- Am I obsessive about never-ending improvement?
- How do I encourage and enable all people to innovate?
- Are we trying to manage performance process instead of a value improvement system?
- Are we a true learning organization?
- What do I know about our people risks?
- Are we evidence based?
