Contrary to misperceptions created by virtue-signaling and greenwashing, stakeholder capitalism is based on the principles of Peter Drucker and W. Edwards Deming and others who led the total quality management revolution starting in the late 1940s: the opportunity to enhance performance by harmonizing the interests of all stakeholders toward a common purpose, goals, objectives, and values.It took decades for the total quality management movement to become established in manufacturing.
