EEA YouTube Show March 26, 11 AM ET: An Introduction to Faith-Based Capitalism

Three business leaders open about their faith in Christ and the application of Christian principles to business will join Bruce Bolger, Enterprise Engagement Alliance Founder and host of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance YouTube channel to discuss the connection between faith and business. (Note that the EEA is a secular, non-partisan organization.)
Click here to register for the show live at 11 am ET, March 26. The show will be available for streaming the following week on the EEA YouTube channel and summarized in an ESM article.
Panelists include:
J.C. Hite, Founder and CEO of Hite Digital, a Little Rock-based marketing agency, and Founder of Scale With Stability Summit, April 24-26, Searcy, AR, who openly shares his Christianity in his business.
Davin Salvagno, Founder, Purpose Summit, May 13-15, Charlotte, an annual global gathering of purpose-driven organizations, business leaders, nonprofit leaders, and thought leaders, “who are solving the world’s greatest problems and championing business as a force for good.” He is also author of best-selling Finding Purpose at Work and Thieves of Purpose.
Mike Sharrow, Chief Executive Officer, C12 Business Forums, San Antonio, C12 has been on a mission to "equip Christian CEO and business owners to build great businesses for a greater purpose."
Also invited were representatives from Chabad.org, an organization that in part focuses on ethics and Judaism, and the AMCOB (American Muslim Community of Business). Neither responded to two written requests.
Topics will include:
- Why do some business leaders openly link their organizations to their faith, even if the organization’s activities have nothing to do with religion?
- What specifically does it mean to base a business on the principles and ethics of a religion?
- How do religious ethics apply to capitalism?
- How does one avoid being accused of diverting profits to support personal religious causes?
- Although strictly secular, the EEA often uses the “Golden Rule” as a guiding principle for business. Would they agree?
- If one states a commitment to a specific faith, does that risk alienating those of other faiths, or of atheists for that matter?
- Do you believe your organization will enjoy even greater prosperity by basing its principles on your faith?
