Background: A Commitment to Effective Practices, Metrics, and Standards
The New Direction: Third-Party Impact Evaluation and Sustainability Report Validation
A Cross-Functional Advisory Board to Evaluate Effective Metrics and Practices
TM Evolution, a Brainerd. MN-based compensation, human capital analytics, and technology firm, has purchased the International Center for Enterprise Engagement Alliance from the Enterprise Engagement Alliance, Tarrytown, NY.

Founded in 2019 to promote the use of ISO human capital and related standards for certification purposes, the International Center for Enterprise Engagement under TM Evolution’s management will draw upon its combined expertise in human capital analytics, ISO human capital standards, and technology to provide third-party independent:
- Impact measurement. Helping organizations of almost any type evaluate the actual impact of their strategies and tactics to engage sales and non-sales employees, customers, distribution and supply chain partners, communities and almost any stakeholders.
- Independent validation of corporate sustainability reports. Enhancing the value of corporate sustainability reporting by providing independent assurance of claims made about stakeholders in sustainability reporting.
Professionals, organizations and solution providers seeking to conduct these processes on their own can learn how to do so, access the PVIC technology, and market their services by joining the Enterprise Engagement Alliance Academy, according to the Enterprise Engagement Alliance.
Background: A Commitment to Effective Practices, Metrics, and Standards
The International Center for Enterprise Engagement (ICEE) was founded by some of the original creators of ISO standards. Dr. Heiko Mauterer, Board Member and Senior Partner for 4C Group in Frankfurt, retains his role as an advisory board member. Bruce Bolger, Founder of the original ICEE, will now serve on the advisory board with practitioners and solution providers in all areas of engagement.
Explains Hanson, “Having myself been involved with technology to support ISO standards, I know how valuable they are but also that most companies do not have an appetite to follow a formal framework for corporate sustainability reporting, given that each feels they have their own reporting needs. This new direction for ICEE helps ensure this valuable knowledge gets used without requiring companies to become formally certified.”
Adds Bolger, “I don’t think any organization in the US has more systematically promoted ISO and the EU CSRD than the Enterprise Engagement Alliance and ICEE, and we will continue to do so. Given that the European Union is establishing a comprehensive legal reporting framework that likely will guide international standards in the future, and given the current state of ESG (environmental, social, governance) in the US and other uncertainties, I see little demand outside of Asia for ISO human capital standard certification. Focusing on using those standards to more effectively develop and measure the impact of people engagement practices across the enterprise and using the same auditing processes for the information companies seek to disclose is a far more practical way to keep this wisdom alive.”
The New Direction: Third-Party Impact Evaluation and Sustainability Report Validation
Going forward, ICEE will focus on utilizing the ISO framework and other international standards to help organizations independently validate the value created by their people investments as well as the corporate sustainability reports many organizations use to disclose them. ISO and related standards ensure that organizations can rely on evergreen standards without risk of licensing issues in the future.
The EEA will continue to support professionals, organizations and solution providers seeking to conduct and market these processes on their own through the Enterprise Engagement Alliance Academy.
A Cross-Functional Advisory Board to Evaluate Effective Metrics and Practices
In addition to its management team, ICEE draws upon a board of advisors provided by the Enterprise Engagement Alliance in all areas of engagement to help provide ongoing input into the effective effective practices and metrics used for impact analysis, including sales and non-sales employees, customers, distribution and supply chain partners, communities, and the environment. Members also provide input into Effective Practices white papers and related content.
Common engagement tactics measured include: incentives (sales, channel, employee); employee appreciation and recognition; loyalty; motivational events; etc. Founding advisory board members include:
- Dr. Heiko Mauterer, (EEA Impact Council Chair), Board Member and Senior Partner for 4C Group in Frankfurt
- Mary Anne Comotto, CEO, Partners for Incentives, a 71-year-old incentive and recognition firm offering a complete suite of technologies and program design support through five full-time planners each with years of experience.
- Michael Levy, Founder, CEO, WorkProud, a 23-year-old recognition firm with a end-to-send suite of technologies to align the interests of all stakeholders.
- Dr. Paul White, Ph. D, Founder, Appreciation at Work, a culture enhancement tool in over two-dozen languages used around the world.
