Enterprise Engagement Academy Launches Advanced ISO 10018 Prep Program and Elective Course on Rewards & Recognition

The Enterprise Engagement Alliance offers a fast track training program for organizations seeking to elevate their level of expertise.

Individuals ready to step up to the Advanced Engagement Practitioner (AEP) level with the skills necessary to help an organization achieve ISO 10018 certification can do so at EEA.tmlu.org. A learning and testing program on ISO 10018 that is essential to AEP certification is now available, along with a free elective program on best practices in rewards and recognition, sponsored by Bulova, Hinda Incentives and Pulse Experiential Travel.

“The ISO 10018 certification is a natural extension for any organization following ISO 9001 quality management, 45001 occupational health and safety standards, or any of 14 other ISO standards,” says Dr. Ron McKinley, Co-Founder of the International Center for Enterprise Engagement (ICEE) at the University of Texas Medical Branch. “All those standards now include ISO Annex SL management systems that more or less require key provisions of ISO 10018, which simply provide a more detailed roadmap.”

There are two types of ISO 10018 certifications: Employer and Solution-Provider. Employers can benefit from the services of an ISO certified professional to conduct a gap analysis to identify and address opportunities for improvement. To achieve an ISO 10018 certification, organizations need to be audited by an auditor designated by the International Center for Enterprise Engagement. The gap analysis is conducted in advance so that the organization doesn’t waste time and money on an audit that likely will identify numerous gaps.

According to Allan Schweyer, EEA Curriculum Chair, the learning platform is designed to provide the information necessary for organizations to understand ISO 10018 and the key elements required for compliance. “Whether or not companies seek to go the extra step to get certified, they can benefit from a straightforward, systematic approach to engaging people that can be applied to almost any organizational sales, marketing, human relations, operations, or community engagement effort.”

The new Advanced Engagement Practitioner learning platform is available only to paid individual and corporate members of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance. Once this certification is complete, an individual must create a formal Engagement Business Plan addressing all the key requirements in ISO 10018 and demonstration how it would be audited. Samples are provided in Enterprise Engagement: The Roadmap, 4th Edition, available free to EEA members. If the plan does not meet the guidelines, the applicant can make the necessary improvements. Once the online test and written paper are approved, the individual is ready to apply for ISO 10018 certification from ICEE. After a phone interview with an ICEE auditor, the company can qualify for the designation.

In addition to the paid modules necessary for certification, the Enterprise Engagement Academy at EEA.tmlu.org also offers complimentary learning platforms on Rewards and Recognition Best Practices, Engagement and Trade Show management. These are available at no cost to people who register for the free EEA membership option.
