Health Innovation Conference Adds Employer Experience Track

HLTHA leading provider of information and events for the health care system has added an Employer Experience track managed by Mercer, a well-known advisory firm with health care and workplace management services.

By Ira Ozer

The HLTH 2022 Innovation Conference, Las Vegas, Nov. 13-16, has partnered with Mercer to create an onsite experience across the entire health ecosystem for leaders of Human Resources, Talent, Total Rewards and Wellness. The new Employer Experience track will address how “the employer’s role in the healthcare ecosystem is becoming more important as employee needs and demands grow, with a bigger focus on disease prevention and wellness than ever before. Today, employers lean heavily on healthcare benefits as a means for attracting top talent and building value.” The program is “designed to deliver the latest thought leadership, business solutions, and curated networking opportunities for leaders of Benefits, Human Resources, Talent, Total Rewards, Wellness, People, and Operations.” The focus is on how organizations use work with the health-care industry to create a more healthy workplace.

Health care employers can register here or qualify to attend free of charge (including a travel stipend) through the hosted buyer program, a curated marketplace of health buyers and solution providers designed for senior executives and decision-makers to evaluate digital health solutions as potential partners for their organizations.

The program will also include a track called Well by Hlth, the “intersection of culture and care” at which it will feature providers of wearables, fitness, mental wellness/mindfulness, metabolic health and cardio metabolic disease, nutrition, longevity, sexual health, sleep health, psychedelics, and food innovation.

HLTH provides a platform to help support and align the entire health ecosystem. Mercer, a division of Marsh & McLennan, is “a global leader in redefining the world of work." According to HLTH, employer attendees of this conference will be able to personalize their healthcare innovation experience and engage with fellow employers and well as payers, providers, startups and other stakeholders. There will be specially curated content, C-Suite panels and deep-dive discussions with industry speakers and the key themes of the program focus on value – the quality, access, and cost across the benefits landscape, with a shift towards prevention and wellness, digital health innovations and health disparities across employee populations.”

In a press release, Ed Lehman, Mercer's US Health Leader states, "The COVID-19 pandemic and recent societal crises have once again clearly demonstrated how integral employers are to changing the status quo and further transforming the US healthcare system. From telemedicine to digital health apps, from gender-specific needs to racial equity, from financial well-being to mental health support, by attending HLTH 2022, employers can engage with other stakeholders and peers in order to lead deep, systemic change."

Jonathan Weiner, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of HLTH adds, “Our relationship with Mercer has allowed us to give employers a unique opportunity to network with people from across the entire health ecosystem in one place they are no longer in an echo chamber amongst themselves…Employers are able to view the latest health innovations that will add value to and attract top talent to their organization in an engaging and efficient way."
